K-5 Teachers Explore STEM Education Practices and ContentBy Diana Wehrell-Grabowski on October 26, 2013 in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Education
Really enjoyed the follow-up visit with the K-5 teachers at Stenstrom Elementary in Seminole County, Florida. I had conducted several days of STEM education training during the summer with the Stenstrom Elementary staff. The administration and parent organization scheduled follow-up training from the summer sessions. During the one day follow-up sessions teachers continued to use their reflective journals, connect STEM practices and content across the curriculum. Teachers became familiar with the engineering design process during aeronautical and robotic investigations. I look forward to hearing and seeing how the students and staff of Stenstrom Elementary are immersed in STEM education during the 2013-2014 school year.
